Orchard is one of 12 individual houses on Highfield Park set in nearly 30 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds in the outskirts of Denbigh in the small village of Llandyrnog. The park is approximately 6 miles from the historic town of Denbigh, and 20 miles from the popular North Wales seaside resorts of Rhyl and Prestatyn. A little further away are the cities of Liverpool and Chester.
The service’s aim is to support, stabilize and provide a pathway to other ‘ordinary living’ models of care within the existing resources of MHC. Admissions are on a short and medium term basis.
The use of the Mental Health Act 1983 would follow established procedures for residential services that exist currently such as Guardianship Orders or Section 17 leave from a detained bed.
The clinical profile baseline information collated during the initial 13 week assessment period would then lead the way in determining the care plans, risk assessments and other therapeutic needs which are recorded. The resultant care plans, risk assessments / management plans and PCP should define and support the pathway.
